Awesome Anniversary Ramblings!

We. Are. Awesome!  Yes, we, my man and I are awesome together!

Have we always been awesome?  No, we have not.....I wish I could say we always had been, I wish we had not wasted so much time being selfish and trying to destroy one another.  I wish we had not wasted so much time living outside God's plan for marriage, outside His plan for our marriage.  Gosh!  The wasted time haunts me sometimes. But God.....He had a more wonderful plan! He has covered us in so much grace and mercy and forgiveness!  He has healed us from who we were, given us new hearts, made us completely different people than who we once were....people we don't even recognize now, when we talk about times long ago, it feels like we are talking about some other people, not us. You see, God has an amazing plan for marriage.....yes, yours too!  But you MUST put Him first!  He must be first, before your husband - He must be the head of your home!  He is a loving God and He has a plan for your marriage more wonderful than you could ever imagine! You will see the change take place and you will just stand in complete awe because nothing is the same! Where there was once yelling and arguing, there is now a peace and a calm that is just like wrapping yourself up in a warm fuzzy blankie. Where there was dislike for one another, there is now a deep, satisfying love that you just can't ever get enough of. Where there was selfishness, there is now more concern for the other than ever before.  You consider them in all things, and consider how everything will affect them, not just yourself anymore.  You put them before yourself in all things....they are always #1. Where there was once much venom spewed, there is now kindness, love, consideration, encouragement, a sharing of everything. Where there were two lives being led, there is now one, you want to be together, you want to do everything together! I can't get enough of my man! I want to be with him all the time!  Gosh, I even miss him while we are gone to work during the day!  I love being in his space! Today, we celebrate 25 years of marriage!  :) 25 years of being covered in God's amazing grace! I remember the very moment that gorgeous man walked into my life and I am so very thankful for him!  He is the great love of my life, the greatest earthly gift my Father could ever give me! No words could ever tell you how much I love you, honey!  Happy Anniversary!
