Jesus and Tacos

Updated: Jun 2, 2024

Wednesday night Bible Study is the best!  We meet at the Mexican restaurant for Jesus and tacos....it is awesome! Recently we tackled "Having a Mary heart in a Martha World" - it was outstanding!  I don't dislike Martha nearly as much as I thought I did.  LOL! There was one Wednesday that was particularly awesome!  Not only was I surrounded by fabulous God Fearing - Truth Tellers, but the study and conversation was fantastic! We were talking about how amazing it is that God can hear everyone's prayers all the time and is with everyone all the time! Our God is AWESOME!! So I said.....I know God doesn't ever get tired, but that makes me tired for Him, all of us humans that are so messy and have so many issues.  Don't you think sometimes He just gets a little fed up? Precious Lisa said.....I don't see Him like that at all - I see Him sitting there with tremendous - excited - anticipation, just waiting for people to be saved or when we finally choose to go down the narrow path that He has laid out for us.  When we finally give up that sin that is keeping us prisoner. I LOVE THIS VERY MUCH!!!! I love that it is stuck in my head forever now and that is my new mental picture of what our Papa is doing!  I text her the next day to thank her for that mental picture and that I imagined God, Paul and Moses giving high-fives when something extraordinary happens! God is with you all the time, He is walking with you and listening to you, and caring about every single detail of your life!!  Every morning, He is sitting beside me in His robe, having coffee with me.  If I go for a walk at lunch, He has his Nike's on walking right beside me.  When I am singing praise in the Jeep Wrangler Coliseum, He is there enjoying my joyful noise!  He goes where I go!  He is closer than anyone, He thinks of you as His best friend! The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you, he will never leave you nor forsake you.  Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged.   Deuteronomy 31:8
