Marriage

Gorgeous hubby and I have been married for 25 years now.  After all these years, we are just now doing our first Marriage Bible Study together. I am over the moon excited about this! This past Sunday was the first night and it was incredible!  I made a grand entrance, tripping right into the room with hubby's homemade banana pudding in my hands.  The pudding was saved, my toes are sore and I didn't face plant....how I didn't, I do not know. God has His hand on this study, our leaders and each marriage....it is so exciting to know that lives will be changed and that God has placed all of us here for such a time as this!  I love to witness God putting puzzle pieces together! It's cool, because there is such a wide range of couples in our group.....couples married for 8 months up to 38 years.  The years and the experience represented in that room are just amazing! Some of our homework was to take the Five Love Languages Test.  Hubby and I had taken it a long time ago, but we came right home and took it again and our boys took it too.....that was interesting.  If you have not taken this, google it and take the test, it is very awesome! So mine and cute hubby's #1's changed.....mine was Acts of Service (it is now #2) and his was Physical Touch (it is now #2).  Both of us are now Quality Time....so cool and thankful that we speak the same love language!!  Our oldest is also Quality Time and our youngest is Words of Affirmation.  When we guessed what they would be, we got both of them all wrong.  LOL!  You think you know your kids, and they surprise you! Knowing your spouses Love Language is HUGE!  I mean really really, it is a big deal and can change your marriage! Think about it....my Love Language is Quality Time....if cute hubby is not loving me in my Love Language and spending time with me, I am gonna feel unloved.  If your hubby's Love Language is Physical Touch and you are not loving him in his Love Language....not just sex, but holding his hand, hugging him, kissing him, patting him on the fanny....he is gonna feel unloved. Mind blowing isn't it?! So what are you waiting for?  Go take the dang test!! Yeah, finish reading this first.  LOL! This Bible study is done, and now we are moving to the next one.  So much happened during the first one, so much healing, so much change, new couple friendships made, new individual friendships made, mentor relationships made, chains were broken!  God is good and He is mighty to save! Now....GO TAKE THE TEST! Love y'all!
