Baby boy is home!!!!
He came home from camp on Friday - ON FIRE FOR THE LORD!! Daddy, Mommy and Baby Boy went to dinner after we scooped him up, so we could just sit and visit and hear about his week. I could tell right away, his demeanor was different.....he was more peaceful....more soft spoken....a joy had entered him and made him different than when he left. To hear your child say that he studied his Bible on his own - That he loved worship time, it was his favorite time of the day - That he held his hands high in worship - That he broke down in tears during worship - That he made life long friends at church and new friends that live far away - I could bust!! I said so.....on a scale of 1 to 10, what would you give your week? He said a T-E-N for sure!!! He said he can't wait to go back next year and can't wait for Winter Conference! I do believe I have perma-grin! I don't know who missed him more, his mommy or his baby girl Lucy! I thought her tail would wag off because her human had returned to her! They are such a mess over each other! Since he has been home, we have chatted more and he has come to me to tell me things like.....I read my Bible before I went to bed last night - I was watching this preacher on YouTube, watch mom - I was looking on Amazon for a Bible study I would like to do, will you get it for me - Mom....I told Bubba (his 20-year-old brother) that I want us to do a Bible study together - Mom.....this is my favorite song from worship...."No longer a slave".....watch it....we sang in the kitchen together, he asked me if I thought he would be a good singer - he told me he wants to lead a small group on Wednesday nights (youth night) when he gets a little older! What? - This boy of mine....coming home and being an example to his family!! I constantly text my Mom about the awesome things that are happening....she knows all too well the "Breaking of the Mommy heart". I love for her to share in the excitement!! This is the same child that about did us all in last year during school - The same child that we thought we would have to put in private school - The same child I cried a million tears over - The same child that I have been face planted in the floor praying for! I have said it before and will say it again.....one of the strongest forces on the face of the planet is a praying Momma!! Then......we went to church Sunday!!! Whew! Our Worship Leader preached and he was also at camp all week. Of course, he had much to share about their week. He told us of how these teenagers were unashamed about worshiping our Savior - How they wanted to wait for an hour or more so they could be down front close to the stage - How they were broken and crying - How 2 of them came forward because they want to go into the ministry - How 8....E-I-G-H-T of them surrendered their lives to Christ!!! Praise God!! As you know, my boy was one of them and I cried....I always cry! Baby boy was very attentive, followed along in his Bible and took notes.....a 12 year old taking sermon notes....my 12 year old taking sermon notes!!! He has been taking notes for a while now and I love it!! I feel like my heart could just jump out of my chest....knowing he will be with me in Heaven and that he will be used in mighty ways to further the Kingdom of God is just AWESOME!!! Thank you Papa that I have a front row seat for all that you will use this child to do!!
